Wonderful, Tender, Juicy & Full Flavored Standing Rib Roast Recipe
This is the best standing rib roast recipe that is so easy to make and it serves 10 people!
* 1 (3 lb) box of morton kosher salt
* 4-6 lbs prime rib roast
Directions
1. Slowly add a little of the water to the Kosher salt and stir; then add a little more water and
stir. Continue until the salt becomes the consistency of "snow" so that you can "pack" it on the
roast and it sticks like snow (Sometimes you may need a little more or less of the water) -- YOU DO
NOT WANT TO DISSOLVE THE SALT.
2. Pat some of the salt mixture in a foil-lined pan in a rectangle big enough to put the roast on.
3. Place the roast on the salt and pat the remaining salt mixture on the roast, covering completely.
4. Inset a meat thermometer.
5. Bake at 425 degrees for about 2 hours.
6. (140 degrees for rare, 160 for medium).
7. Remove the roast when the thermometer registers 5 degrees BELOW desired doneness.
8. CRACK AND REMOVE ALL OF THE SALT CRUST.
This method makes the BEST roasted prime rib. It never fails to produce a tender/juicy prime rib for me. Don't worry, the salt mixture will not affect the taste. It's purpose is to seal in all the flavor and juices.

"It's milk. It's an animal that's going to do a lot of good," says World Vision's Devin Hermanson. "Chickens are huge."
Here's how this gift giving works:
- You buy something like school supplies for children in need in the United States or around the world, in honor of somebody you love.
- Then you get a card to give them, saying the charitable gift was made in their name.
"It's a way of honoring someone or giving a gift that might have more meaning to you than a typical consumer gift," explains Linda Ranz of Medical Teams International.
This is the third year for the Medical Teams International gift catalog.
There are 10 options, ranging from dental care for local kids to HIV prevention for families in Africa.
This year, a donor is matching up to $200,000 raised through MTI's catalog.
The group is only halfway to the goal, so they hope more people will give.
And World Vision says people are giving more.
Their recent study shows people spending less in stores but more in these catalogs.
"People were actually saying they're going to cut back this year, but they want to spend more on charitable giving," says Hermanson. "That's consistent with what we've heard from donors over the years. They want Christmas to be about their values."
